Heart, memory, and identity: are Nobodies and replicas really "themselves"?

Story spoilers日本語 1 · English 0

Works discussed in this thread: Chain of Memories / KINGDOM HEARTS II / 358/2 Days / Dream Drop Distance / KINGDOM HEARTS III

This series keeps returning to beings who have lost their heart or their memory, and beings made from someone else. Nobodies, Xion, Riku Replica — at what point, if any, do they become "themselves"? Name one line or scene and write how you read it.
