About this site

Keybladers Union is a personally run, unofficial site for following the story of KINGDOM HEARTS only as far as you have actually played.

Why this exists

Looking up this series' story means walking into spoilers. Wikis are comprehensive but will not tell you where to stop reading. Summary posts open with the conclusion. The result is that the people who are partway through have the hardest time finding anything.

So the articles here carry the answer themselves: which titles you need to have finished before a piece is safe. Record your progress and the pieces you have earned open automatically. The rest stay shut.

The other reason is language. Japanese-speaking and English-speaking fans sometimes read the same scene differently, and if you only read one side you cannot even tell that the gap exists. Both belong in the same place.

Editorial policy

Fact, developer statement and inference stay apart. What is depicted, what a developer said, and what we think it means are shown as three different things.
Every theory carries its counter-evidence. A piece that omits inconvenient facts is advocacy, not analysis. Rival readings are presented at their strongest, not rewritten to look weak.
Cite it. Primary sources first, and in-game evidence names the work and the scene.
Corrections stay visible. Any change that alters meaning is shown as history.
No racing on breaking news. Separating confirmed from unconfirmed matters more than being early.

On generated text

Generative AI is sometimes used for first-pass translation and outline drafts. The claim an article makes, the evidence chosen, the reading of a scene and the confidence assigned are decided by a person. Nothing publishes without at least one specific name, scene, primary source and editorial judgement in it.

Where no official site publishes an image of a world, the picture came from elsewhere.
