What we collect

If you create an account: the identifier and email address from your auth provider, a display name, an optional avatar URL, your language, your progress, your unreleased-title preference, and the fact and time of your age attestation.

What we do not collect: date of birth, gender, precise location, nationality.

Analytics: we use Google Analytics to record usage events such as views, navigation and translation actions. No consent prompt is shown beforehand. We do not store raw IP addresses or advertising identifiers ourselves, and advertising features such as Google Signals are turned off.

Why we use it

To gate spoilers against your progress, to authenticate and protect your account, to prevent abuse and spam, and to improve the service.

We do not infer region or nationality. Poll comparisons are keyed solely to the interface language in use at the time of voting. We do not geolocate by IP address.

Third parties

We use processors for hosting, database, authentication, email delivery and error monitoring, limited to what running the site requires. Some of their servers may be outside Japan.

We use Google Analytics for usage analytics; usage data is sent to Google's servers.

Video is embedded from YouTube. No connection to YouTube is made until you press play; from that point YouTube's own terms and cookies apply.

The official X (formerly Twitter) timeline is offered the same way: nothing is requested from X until you press load, and from that point X's own terms and cookies apply.

If you use comment translation, the comment text is sent to an external translation service. This only happens when you ask for it.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication, language, security, and — via Google Analytics — usage analytics. No consent prompt is shown beforehand.

You can disable cookies or tracking through your browser settings or extensions. We do not geolocate by IP address.

Your rights

You can export everything we hold about you as JSON from the settings page.

You can request account deletion from the settings page. It is processed after a 7-day cancellation window, removing your profile and auth identifiers. Backup copies are cycled out within 90 days.

For votes, deletion severs the link to you and retains only an aggregate figure that cannot be traced back to an individual.

Minors

Reading is open to all ages. Accounts, comments and voting are for users aged 16 and over. We do not run advertising or profiling directed at children.

Copyright and takedown

Rights holders may request removal by providing their name, the URL in question, the nature of the right, contact details and the action requested. Clear cases of unauthorised reposting may be hidden while we investigate.
