How the announcements unfolded

KINGDOM HEARTS IV was announced for the series' 20th anniversary. The first trailer introduced Quadratum and Yozora and established the game as the opening entry of the arc following the Dark Seeker Saga.

At the Disney Entertainment panel at D23 on 14 August 2026, the release window and a Disney/Pixar world were revealed. An extended trailer followed on the 15th.
